Hide or Substitute Broken Image -
Behavior for Dreamweaver    
 This product is fully compatible with Adobe Dreamweaver CS5!
Things happen -images can be accidentally moved or deleted from the server. Sometimes you can not be 100% sure the image exists, for example when loading the source attribute for the images from a database (especially if you are taking over a project previously managed by someone else).
This Behavior solves the problem in the following way:
Once the page is loaded it will check for missing images and
either hide broken image icons or display a substitute image for those that are missing, just like in the example below ("Image coming soon" is displayed instead of the broken icon):
This extension is compatible with Dreamweaver MX, Dreamweaver MX 2004, Dreamweaver 8, Dreameaver CS3, Dreameaver CS4 and Dreameaver CS5.
The Linecraft Hide or Substitute Broken Image can only be applied to the HTML <body> tag using "onLoad" event.
To use the the Behavior:
- Select the <body> tag of your HTML document (You can do this by using the Tags bar normally located at the bottom of the Dreamweaver window).

- Click the "+" button in the Behaviors panel and select Linecraft and then Hide or Substitute Broken Image behavior
- Click "Browse" button and locate your image or leave the Substitute image location field empty.
- Click OK.
- Make sure the "onLoad" event is selected in the Behaviors panel.
If you do leave the Substitute image location empty the behavior will just hide the broken image icon in the browser.
Otherwise it will display the selected substitute image in place of every missing one.
If the height and width attributes of the missing image are specified in the HTML code then substitute image will be stretched to those dimensions. Otherwise it will be displayed with its actual dimensions.
