Spry Always Visible widget

Spry Always Visible is a user interface widget powered by Adobe Spry framework. When added to a page the widget will produce a floating container for your interface element. This can be a menu or a page dialog, an advertising banner or a rich media component (Flash SWF or video), or simply a block of text. When the page is scrolled or resized the container will retain its initial position creating "persistent" or "pinned" element effect.

Examples

Horizontal Spry Menu Bar inside Always Visible Widget.
Observe how the menu always stays at the top while the page is scrolled. You don't have to scroll back to the top to access the menu which greatly improves usability, especially with longer pages.

A "pinned note" aligned to the bottom right corner of the page. A set of instructions or a feedback form is a good example of use for such "note".

A "Jump Menu" with the table of content to navigate the page - an instance of Vertical Spry Menu Bar inside Always Visible Widget. Aligned to the left side in the middle of the page such menu provides an easy access to any section within the current page as well as external pages.

Accessing the Widget and the Help file

On your web page insert your cursor inside any visible element and click the button or the menu item on the Insert bar to add the widget to the page.

A background-image CSS property has been applied to this div element to make it look like this way.
Dreamweaver Show Hide Elements Behavior has been applied to the "pin" image. Clicking the image will hide the "note".
